How do I apply for a scholarship?

If you are a student at one of the Foundations's partner Colleges (Capel Manor - Greenmount - Hadlow - Pershore - Welsh - Writtle) please apply directly to the college authorities who will consider your application.

If you are not a student at one of these colleges, but are currently studying (or considering studying) ornamental horticulture and would like to apply for one of the other scholarships offered, please apply directly to the Foundation. (click here for application forms)

The trustees will also consider direct applications for financial assistance. All such ad hoc requests will be treated based on merit and need.

What are the requirements for earning a scholarship?

All applications will be assessed individually by the relevant colleges or, in the case of direct application scholarships, by the trustees. As a general rule, preference will be given to applicants who meet the following criteria:

How much does a scholarship pay?

Each college is slightly different, but on average has up to £1,500 per annum to allocate to between one and three students.

What are the requirements upon completion of any scholarship?

The trustees require that each student send a report to the Foundation, explaining how the award of the scholarship has aided them in their studies and how they intend to pursue their career post-college.
